Il a d\u00e9but\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re en 1995 chez Sanofi. Il est responsable alors de la conception de vecteurs synth\u00e9tiques pour la th\u00e9rapie g\u00e9nique au sein du d\u00e9partement GenCell de Vitry-sur-Seine. En charge d&rsquo;un programme de vaccination \u00e0 base d&rsquo;ADN chez Sanofi-Pasteur \u00e0 Lyon de 1999 \u00e0 2000, il devient ensuite chercheur au CNRS. Il est actuellement directeur de Recherche 1ere classe au sein du Centre de Recherche en Canc\u00e9rologie et d\u2019Immunologie de Nantes. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 pionnier dans la d\u00e9couverte de nouveaux vecteurs synth\u00e9tiques, baptis\u00e9s Nanotaxi\u00ae. Ces vecteurs de nouvelles g\u00e9n\u00e9rations permettent aujourd&rsquo;hui de lever des verrous technologiques du transfert de mol\u00e9cules d\u2019ADN, siRNA et mRNA <em>in vivo<\/em>. Ses vecteurs sont au c\u0153ur de plusieurs vastes programmes internationaux d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 la vaccination ou th\u00e9rapie \u00e0 ARN ou ADN. Un de ses vecteurs fait actuellement l&rsquo;objet d\u2019un d\u00e9veloppement clinique pour la vaccination \u00e0 ADN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il est par ailleurs fondateur de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 In-Cell-Art avec un laur\u00e9at du Prix Nobel. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 pendant 13 ans membre du conseil scientifique de l&rsquo;association fran\u00e7aise Vaincre la Mucoviscidose. Il est \u00e9diteur associ\u00e9 du journal \u00ab&nbsp;Current Gene Therapy&nbsp;\u00bb. Il est auteur de plus de 90 publications scientifiques et sur invitation de l\u2019\u00e9diteur Elsevier (Oxford) a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9\u00e9dition de l\u2019ouvrage
